Health Guarantee
Here's to healthy pups!
When you take your puppy home, I will give you my written health guarantee and a certificate from the vet stating the pup is healthy.
Below you will find a copy of my health guarantee. It also has the purchase price of the puppy listed at the bottom and acts as a receipt for you. I guarantee the general health of my pups for 14 days and the genetic health for a one year period.
Many breeders only guarantee the general health of a pup for 3 or 4 days after the pup goes to a new home. I don’t feel this is long enough as some contagious diseases have a fairly long incubation period. Distemper for instance has a 6 - 9 day incubation period and if a puppy came down with Distemper during that period it is clear that the pup had the disease before it left the breeders property. Fortunately I have never had a contagious disease in any of my dogs or the pups that I have sold, but I still want the buyer to be protected by the health guarantee.
I also guarantee the genetic health of the pup for a one year period. This would cover things such as joint problems, eye problems, heart problems or other things that are considered to be passed on from the parents. The pup would need to be returned to me at which point I will refund the full purchase price of the pup or replace the puppy with a puppy of the same type and quality.

THIS PUP IS SOLD WITH NO KNOWN HEALTH OR GENETIC DEFECTS. THE GENERAL HEALTH OF THIS PUPPY IS GUARANTEED FOR FOURTEEN DAYS (14), AND THE GENETIC HEALTH IS GUARANTEED FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR (1), FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER GUARANTEES APPLY TO THE PUPPY PURCHASE.
THE BUYER MAY TAKE PUPPY TO HIS/HER VETERINARIAN FOR EXAMINATION WITHIN THE 14 DAY- GENERAL HEALTH GUARANTEE PERIOD. IF THE VETERINARIAN FINDS ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANY APPARENT DEFORMITY, OR THAT THE PUPPY IS SICK, THE BREEDER SHOULD BE NOTIFIED AND THE PUPPY RETURNED TO THE BREEDER (RETURN IS AT BUYERS EXPENSE). THE BREEDER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO HAVE HER OWN VET EXAMINE THE PUPPY BEFORE THE PUPPY IS EITHER REPLACED WITH A PUPPY OF LIKE QUALITY OR THE BUYER PURCHASE PRICE IS REFUNDED (BUYERS OPTION).
THE PUPPY MUST BE RETURNED TO THE BREEDER BEFORE ANY REFUND OR REPLACEMENT WILL BE GIVEN. IF THE PUPPY IS NO LONGER ALIVE, ANY CLAIM FOR REPLACEMENT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A VETS STATEMENT AND A PICTURE OF THE PUPPY, PLUS ALL REGISTRATION AND RIGHTS OF OWNERSHIP ARE TRANSFERRED BACK TO THE BREEDER.
THE BREEDER MUST BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO EUTHANASIA (THIS APPLIES ONLY TO THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD).
